No referral is needed. You can contact us directly to get started. If your insurance requires a referral for coverage purposes, we can help you navigate that, just let us know when you reach out.
After submitting your intake form, our admin team typically follows up within one to two business days. Appointment availability varies by clinician and location, but we work to get you scheduled as quickly as possible. If you have an urgent need, let us know and we'll do our best to prioritize.
Absolutely. You're welcome to browse our therapist profiles and let us know if you have a preference. We take matching seriously, pairing clients with clinicians based on specialty, approach, identity alignment, and availability. And if it turns out not to be the right fit, we'll help you find someone else within our team.
You don't need to have that figured out. Our team will listen, ask thoughtful questions, and recommend an approach that feels appropriate for what you're navigating. Your therapist will also explain different options and work collaboratively with you to find what fits best.

Your first session is primarily about getting to know each other. Your therapist will ask about your background, what brings you in, your goals, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy. There's no pressure to share everything at once, you set the pace. By the end, you and your therapist will begin to outline a plan for your care.
Standard individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Some specialty services or extended sessions may run longer, your therapist will let you know what to expect based on your treatment plan.
Most clients start with weekly sessions and adjust from there based on their progress and goals. Some people benefit from bi-weekly sessions as they stabilize, while others continue weekly long-term. Your therapist will give you a clear recommendation after your first appointment.
Yes. We work with children as young as five years old using developmentally appropriate approaches including play therapy, art therapy, and sand tray therapy. For adolescents, we offer both traditional talk therapy and specialized modalities tailored to their needs. Parent involvement is incorporated as appropriate.
Yes. Our clinicians are trained in evidence-based approaches for couples and families, including the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). Whether you're navigating communication challenges, relationship transitions, or family conflict, we can help.
We ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee. Your therapist will go over the full policy during your first appointment.
Yes. We accept most major insurance plans including Pacific Source, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Regence, Aetna, Moda, Cigna, Trillium, Care Oregon, Medicaid (OHP), Providence, and more. We offer a sliding fee scale for clients who qualify, as well as out-of-pocket and self-pay options. We also accept superbill requests for clients who have out-of-network benefits and would like to seek reimbursement from their insurance on their own. Contact us to discuss your options, we'll work with you to find something that fits.
Our sliding scale adjusts the session fee based on your household income and financial situation. If cost is a barrier to care, please let us know when you reach out, we don't want finances to be the reason someone doesn't get support.
Yes, and we recommend it. Once you've completed the intake form, our admin team can verify your benefits and let you know what to expect in terms of copays, deductibles, and coverage before your first session. No surprises.
A superbill is an itemized receipt that includes the clinical codes for your sessions. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you can submit a superbill directly to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We're happy to provide superbills upon request.
Yes. We offer telehealth services through a secure, HIPAA-compliant client portal. Sessions can also be conducted by phone if needed. Many clients appreciate the flexibility telehealth provides, especially those in rural areas or with busy schedules.
Research consistently shows that telehealth therapy is as effective as in-person sessions for most mental health concerns. The most important factor is the quality of the therapeutic relationship, and that can absolutely be built through a screen. For certain specialized services, in-person sessions may be recommended.
A device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or computer), a stable internet connection, and a private space where you feel comfortable speaking freely. Your therapist will send you a secure link before your session.
In most cases, yes. We try to be flexible and accommodate your schedule and preferences. Just let your therapist or our admin team know and we'll adjust your appointments accordingly.
Our team includes Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Counselor Associates under active supervision. All clinicians are licensed or registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists or Oregon Board of Clinical Social Work.
Our clinicians are trained across a wide range of evidence-based modalities including EMDR, Brainspotting, Neurofeedback, CBT, DBT, IFS, Somatic Therapy, Gottman Method, EFT, and more. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors in effective therapy. If you don't feel like it's the right fit, please let us know, there's no judgment. We'll work with you to find another clinician within our team who may be a better match.
Yes. Several of our clinicians have specific training and experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC communities, veterans, first responders, and other populations. Yes. All sessions are confidential under HIPAA and Oregon state law. There are narrow legal exceptions, such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, or suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, which your therapist will explain clearly at your first appointment.

No, not without your written consent. Your participation in therapy and the content of your sessions are strictly confidential. We will only release records or communicate with outside parties if you sign a release of information authorizing us to do so.
