About Shari

My name is Shari, and I am honored to be part of the team at Willamette Valley Behavioral Health. I bring more than a decade of experience in case management, with a strong focus on supporting individuals experiencing homelessness. As many in Lane County know, securing stable housing can be a long and challenging process. Affordable options are limited, and even those with income often face barriers to qualifying for the housing they need. The path out of homelessness can feel overwhelming, and my goal is to help you navigate that journey with clarity, support, and hope.

I believe that you are the expert in your own life. The goals we set together will be your goals, and my role is to help you identify and access the resources that can move you forward. I view our work as a shared journey—you in the driver’s seat, and me alongside you, pointing out opportunities and supports you may not have seen yet. Every step forward matters, and even small achievements can create meaningful momentum. Throughout our work together, I will advocate for you and support your progress.

I also bring lived experience with poverty, addiction, and mental health challenges. I have been there, and I understand how complex and personal these struggles can be. This perspective informs my work and strengthens my commitment to standing beside you as you pursue your goals—whether that involves employment, education, recovery, or accessing medical and mental health resources. If something is important to you and helps you move forward, I will be your strongest supporter.

I hold a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Western Washington University’s Fairhaven College, where I designed a program centered on one guiding question: Why are poverty and addiction treated as moral failings, and how can we dismantle the barriers that prevent people from succeeding? I am also a QMHA-R certified professional.

I look forward to working with you and supporting your journey toward stability, empowerment, and growth.
