Outreach Services for Unhoused Individuals in Lane County
At Willamette Valley Behavioral Health (WVBH), we believe everyone deserves dignity, compassion, and access to behavioral health care—regardless of their housing situation or where they live. Through our outreach services across Lane County, we provide support, connection, and hope to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Our “Follow Me” Philosophy
At WVBH, we practice a “follow me” philosophy—walking alongside individuals throughout their journey rather than expecting them to navigate complex systems alone. Recovery and stability are not linear, and trust takes time. Our outreach team remains present, engaged, and committed, helping individuals move forward at their own pace while maintaining consistent support every step of the way.
This philosophy means we continue showing up, building relationships, and helping people access the care and resources they need when they are ready to receive them.
Meeting People Where They Are
Our outreach program is rooted in trust, respect, and genuine human connection. We understand that traditional systems of care can feel inaccessible or overwhelming for those living without stable housing. That’s why our team goes directly into the community—visiting encampments, shelters, meal sites, and public spaces to provide compassionate, trauma-informed care.
Our outreach efforts focus on:
Collaboration Across the Community
WVBH works closely with local agencies, shelters, healthcare providers, and public health organizations throughout Lane County to ensure unhoused individuals receive compassionate and coordinated care.
By collaborating with community partners, we strive to create a seamless network of support that addresses both immediate needs and long-term pathways toward recovery, wellness, and housing stability.
Creating Pathways to Stability and Healing
Using trauma-informed care and harm reduction approaches, we meet individuals where they are—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Every interaction is an opportunity to foster trust, restore dignity, and support someone in taking the next step toward safety and healing.
Our goal is not only to provide services, but to help create meaningful pathways to wellness, housing, and renewed purpose. Through our “follow me” approach, individuals are never expected to face these challenges alone.
