Hello, and I’m glad you’re here. I specialize in working with children, teens, and families as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My approach is person-centered and grounded in systems theory, meaning I look at the whole picture—school, family, and community—when supporting a child’s growth and healing.
As the biological child of foster parents for more than two decades in a multi-racial household, I grew up alongside children who carried stories of resilience, loss, and hope. This shaped my passion for supporting youth through difficult transitions and continues to guide my professional training and practice.
In sessions, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, and expressive techniques to create a safe, engaging space where children and adolescents feel understood and empowered. Whether through talk, play, or creative expression, I help youth build resilience, develop coping skills, and strengthen their connections with the important people in their lives.
I recently relocated to Eugene from Anchorage, Alaska, where I provided school-based counseling for K–8 students and collaborated with families and educators to support student well-being. My work emphasized trauma-informed care, CBT, and creative approaches tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy crocheting (and sometimes weaving creativity into my sessions), reading, being outdoors, and staying active in my community. My ultimate goal is to meet each person where they are and walk alongside them as they work toward their goals.
